  Lovely grounds and fantastic views over Nottingham and lots of info about the history of Nottingham. Kids didn't really enjoy it as much as i remember enjoying it at their age. I thought they might offer a bit more from the tales of Robin Hood (after all, the city does sell a lot of tourism based on the legend) Rather pricey entry, also the shop is more expensive than a cinema for drinks. I imagine that this would seem more worth while on a sunny day when you can take more enjoyment from the grounds.

  This is really not what we expected! The staff didn't tell us any details when we paid so we were unaware of the tours etc. It's basically a museum and art gallery. There's an interesting war section and a very knowledgeable volunteer answered our questions and took the time to show us round that exhibition. We wanted to do the caves but when we got to a different desk we were told it was a further £5pp on top of the £8pp entry. The gardens are nice. Have been to much nicer and interesting museums and galleries for free!
